It’s in my DNA to reach out to a lost and broken world with the gospel. I realize I have been ruined for anything else in this life. I do life with young people in the United Kingdom and have been for almost five years now and what a privledge it is to wake up and serve.
I like naps, walks on the beach, Im known as the “starbucks addicted American,” laughter, reading, acoustic guitar, chicken wings, my TOM shoes, dancing, hanging out with people that I love, Jesus, a good cry, a random car drive, meeting new people, taking in new cultures, the way that concepts and ideas unravel in my brain, writing, “Everywhere I Go”, picking blackberries, bike riding in the English countryside, 4.a.m riverside chats and worship times, charm-bracelets, Barnes and Noble, and west palm beach, smoked applewood cheese and notebooks without lines (they fence me in) and I take a “lets stop air dropping this stuff and see what happens approach to life.” I don’t over think, I just get on and do.
These inspire me
“Like all beliefs, you just simply live them. We look at the fruit and see only the material means to fill our emptiness. We don’t see the material world for what it is meant to be: as the means to communion with God. I hunger for filling in a world that is starved. ”
“The place God calls you to is the place where your deep gladness and the world’s deep hunger meet.”
― Frederick Buechner
“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won’t feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.”- Nelson Mandela
Who are we to hold back what we might become?
